VOH Barbecue
Clients and staff enjoyed a supperb barbecue at Cornerstone Cwmbach on Thursday.
Rob Jones played his guitar and shared something of his life story when after a serious accident he was told he would not walk again.
But God healed him and Rob now walks with a stick but supports churches and chapels all over Wales.

Prison Ministry
I recently went in to Eastwood Park prison which although in England also takes Girls from the Welsh Valleys.
Also last Sunday I was ministering with a team of Christians from the Valleys in Parc Prison in Bridgend.
At both venues there was a good number of people there for a variety of reasons from having a living fath through to being there to get out of their cell and meet their friends.
But the good news was they were hearing the good news of Jesus Christ maybe for the first time.
This is great but sadly linking them with a Church upon their release is not very easy as for a variety of reasons churches do not want them, this is a challenge to us all.
If you would like your church added to the list of churches willing to take ex offenders please let me know and I will add it to the list on the Valley Of Hope website.

Office Opening
The new offices were officially opened on the 11 March by the Archbishop Of Wales Dr Barry Morgan, also present was the chief executive of Church Army Mark Russell.
It was a milestone in the life of the Valley Of Hope project and signals a new era.
Tania one of the VOH clients read poeams and read out a very touching story about being in HMP Hard Place giving a insight in to how people going in to prison really feel.
Also we watched three DVD's the first was the VOH link up with the Welsh National opera recording the workshops that five VOH clients had completed culminating in their work being put to miusic and sang by the opera.
Seconndly a DVD was shown about the VOH project and how peoples lives had been changed.
Mark Russell then showed one of Archbishop Desmond Tutu and his support for the work of the Church Army.
To use his words the Church Army puts a smile on the face of God and so may I say does the Valley Of Hope project.
